Funded by the EU PHARE / Europe 2003 programme (EUR 19000)
Location: Varna, Bourgas, Sozopol, Balchik and the Black sea coastal area starting from Shabla and down to Rezovo.
Partners :the Bulgarian fishing Association and the University of National and World Economy.
Targeted to the maritime communities of Bulgaria – professional and territorial. Created awareness about the implications of the accession process and EU policies on: fisheries and aquaculture, maritime transportation, ports and port services, ship-building and repair as well as sustainable development of coastal territories. The method of transfer of information and knowledge was sector-focused seminars and public discussions in 8 coastal locations, lectures, trade-specific brochures and a final conference which issued a Declaration addressing the major issues of the maritime economy , sent the newly elected 40-th National Assembly.
